Ahead of the game, Super Eagles manager Augustine Eguavoen says Nigeria are ready for the heavyweight clash and also praised Tunisia.
Nigeria face the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the Round of 16 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tomorrow.
Eguavoen’s side are the only team to emerge from the group stages with a 100% record.

“Tunisia is another strong North African team. We will continue to work hard as we’ve always done. The same approach, same determination. Tactics might differ a little bit.
“We are ready. Yesterday we did a little bit of recovery training so today we start working on how we can approach the Tunisia game.”
Asked if he had been keeping an eye on the Tunisians even before the knock-out draws, Eguavoen said: “Yeah, they’ve had ups and downs. The first game I think ended in a dramatic fashion. For them having qualified for the knock-out stage is a different ball game. It is going to be a difficult game.
Eguavoen’s 51 caps for Nigeria did not include an encounter with Tunisia, but he was head coach of the Super Eagles when Nigeria upended the Carthage Eagles on penalty shootout in Port Said in Egypt 16 years ago to send the Cup holders out of the tournament at the quarter-final stage.
“They’re a good team. They are very good technically which is typical of North African teams. So we’ll find a way to counter them and make sure we come out on top at the end of the day.” Augustine Eguavoen added.
