The All Nigerian Football Players Union (ANFPU) has congratulated the Super Eagles following Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Sudan in a Group D game at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
In a release made available through ANFPU Media, the union commended the players and coaching crew led by Coach Augustine Eguavoen, for their excellent outing in the group stage, as well as the level of dedication and professionalism they have displayed so far in the competition.
Iloenyosi, enjoined the team to remain focused to achieve more successes and promised total support for the team.
While saluting the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the plans it had put in place to ensure the Eagles do well in Cameroon, the BOT Chairman called on Nigerians to continue to give the team their unalloyed support by remembering them in their prayers.
Already, the Super Eagles have qualified for the Round of 16 of the tournament, after amassing 6points from two matches with an opening win against Egypt last week.
The Nigerian side will now be facing Guinea Bissau in their last group match on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, in Garoua.
