Nigeria captain John Mikel Obi is aiming to win his second Africa Cup of Nations title with the Super Eagles as he displayed his trophy cabinet on social media ahead of the tournament in Egypt.
Mikel took to Instagram to express his desire for winning more trophies, with a short message underneath a video showing his trophy and medal cabinet.
“Space left for few more😊,” Mikel posted on his official account.
Mikel has won a number of trophies including the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, English Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea, as well as other individual awards in his notable career.
He was also part of the Super Eagles team that conquered the rest of the continent in 2013.
The 32-year-old is expected to lead the Super Eagles in their first Group B game against Burundi on June 22.
Gernot Rohr’s charges will then come up against Guinea and Madagascar on June 26 and June 30.
The Super Eagles are returning to the AFCON finals after failing to qualify for the last two editions.
