Super Eagles media officer, Toyin Ibitoye has disclosed that the next list of invitees to the national team’s camp will be made public in the first week of November, sports247.ng can report.
While reeling out the technical crew’s plans for the November 17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier away to South Africa, Ibitoye further said only players who are fit and in form would be called up.
He hinted that Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr was disappointed with the performances of some of the last invitees for the matches against Libya in Uyo and Sfax, Tunisia.
Rohr is now set to evaluate his options and Ibitoye hinted that some of those invited for the past two matches might be dropped, while other players would be called up in their place.
Ibitoye stated: “All the departments of the team that did not meet the expectations of the coaches would be corrected before the next game.
“Part of the process is to ensure stiff competition through players invited for the South Africa game. The list of players will be out in the first week of November.”
