Bayelsa Queens Manager, Moses Aduku, has won the Nigeria Women Premier League Manager of the Month of July, while his striker Anjor Mary clinched the player’s prize.
Aduku has made remarkable impact on Bayelsa Queens bench since he joined his hometown club about two years ago, winning the league title last season.
He presided over two matches in the month of July, winning both including the famous 2-1 victory in Lafia against AITEO Cup Champions, Nasarawa Amazons.
The impressive form has helped the ‘Restoration Girls’ climbed above Sunshine Queens and Nasarawa Amazons on the log.
Meanwhile, forward Anjor Mary is scooping the accolades for the first time in her career, the former Osun Babes striker scored in all three matches played in July, including a brace in Week Two, thereby netting four in total from wins over Kaduna Queens, Nasarawa Amazons and Sunshine Queens.
It is the first time since April 2018 that both manager and player from the same club will win the prestigious awards in the same month- Nasarawa Amazons Christopher Danjuma and Anam Imo, were the first to achieve such accolades.
The awards will be presented to the winners on the 23rd of August 2019.
