Silver medal winning Nigerian female boxer, Adijat Gbadamosi has expressed delights following her outing at the just concluded Olympic Youths Games.
The Pugilist won a Silver Medal for Nigeria at the showpiece which took place in Argentina.
Gbadamosi speaking in a chat with Sports247.ng upon arrival said her target was to win Gold for Nigeria but had to settle for a Silver medal.
“My performance during the competition is something I am proud of. My desire to represent Nigeria at a big event was actualised. It’s something I will cherish for a very long time,” Adijat Gbadamosi told Sports247.ng.
“This is story that I will narrate to people around me in the nearest future. The Olympic Youth Games is a fascinating event for upcoming athletes like me.”
“I worked hard and ended up with a Silver Medal, even though my target was a Gold Medal outing for my country. I will strive to take it a step further in subsequent competitions.”
