Former Super Eagles attacker, Mutiu Adepoju (Headmaster) has tipped the current squad to shine at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
With Nigeria heading back to the continental soccer showpiece, after missing the past two editions, Adepoju says the Eagles will make a resounding impact at the competition they last won in 2013.
Mutiu, who was part of the Tunisia ’94 winning squad from Nigeria, told sports247.ng that the Eagles stand a good chance of performing well in next year’s championship because of the quality of players on offer.
He reasoned: “Seeing Nigerian players playing week in week out with their clubs in Europe gives me the confidence that they will do well at the Africa Cup of Nations next year.”
