Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been nominated alongside Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo , Kylian Mbappe and 29 other football super stars for best men footballer in the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards Sports247 reports.

It is a recognition of the Ademola Lookman’s resourcefulness on the pitch in 2024 for both club and Nigeria.
The Atalanta forward was a phenomenal for the Super Eagles at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria where he helped the country to secure a second placed finished scoring three goals in the competition to complement his high work rate and dedication to the Nigerian course at the competition.
He also contributed immensely to the fantastic run of Atalanta in the 2023/2024 season of which his Hattrick on the final day of the UEFA Europa League secured the trophy for Atalanta, another historic moment for the Bergamo’s outfit.
The wonderful run in 2024 makes him front runner for the 2024 Africa Footballer Award by CAF after finishing 14th in the Balon d’Or award and latest nomination highlighted his stride in 2023/2024 football season as one the best in game.
He is nominated alongside retiring but not tired Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo who both stand a chance to add their collections of individual awards.
Others on the list for a shot as Best Men’s Player category include Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, and Mohamed Salah, Rodrigo, Jude Bellingham and Vincius Jr.
The Globe Soccer Awards, organised by the Dubai Sports Council, will take place on December 27.
