Nigeria’s number one female tennis player, Sarah Adegoke has admitted that her biggest rival on the home front remains Blessing Samuel, and she remains in awe of her main contender in the rankings.
Adegoke was speaking after they both battled it out in a repeat of last year’s women’s singles final at the National Open Tennis Championships in Kano, after which she told sports247.ng the Blessing is always tough.
Both reached the final through tricky semi-final fixtures on Thursday and it was up to Adegoke to seek revenge from last year’s loss at the same stage.
Adegoke said he semi-final win over Christie Agugbom was boost for her in Sunday’s final against the number two ranked female tennis player in Nigeria.
