Barnsley of England youngster, Victor Adeboyejo has admitted he is happy to extend his stay with the lower division outfit, and is hoping to make a bigger impact with the team.
Sports247.ng reports that Adeboyejo was all smiles after signing the dotted lies anew with the EFL League One outfit.
Adeboyejo, who has scored four goals in 16 games across all competitions so far this season, said he feels on the moon with the new agreement.
The deal will keep the 20-year-old former Chelsea youth team player at Oakwell until June 30, 2021, with a further year optional for the club.
Adeboyejo, who played two games with Chelsea’s under-23 team before joining Barnsley in November 2017, has also played for the youth teams of Arsenal, Wimbledon and Charlton Athletic.
He also spent time on loan at Royston Town, Hemel Hempstead Town, Heybridge Swifts, Dulwich Hamlet, Soham Town Rangers and Margate while under contract at Leyton Orient.
Adeboyejo stated: ”I’m over the moon to have finally got it across the line; a lot of hard work and time has gone into it.
“I’m thankful to the club for taking time out to sort it out for me, and for my family and friends for supporting me over the years. It’s lovely to be given the opportunity to sign a new deal.”
