Adamimogo Football Club, a third-tier team from Ondo State, has announced the appointment of Coach Adepoju Banjo Ayodeji as their new head coach.

Adepoju, the former head coach of the South West team Zenith Eagle in 2015, expressed his determination to elevate the club’s standing, bringing his extensive experience to the table.

The veteran coach, who previously managed Rising Stars and Akure City FC, plans to leverage his expertise to meet the club’s aspirations.

During the ceremony, Ogunbusuyi and Jenyo voiced their dissatisfaction with Adamimogo FC’s previous season, where the team failed to secure promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL) and suffered a 0-2 loss to El Kanemi Warriors in the Federation Cup.

This underperformance, they revealed, led to the decision to hire a seasoned coach capable of delivering results.

Prophet Sam Olu Alo, the club’s owner, acknowledged the expectations of the fans and emphasized the importance of engaging a coach of Adepoju’s caliber.

“Coach Adepoju Banjo is one of the finest coaches Nigeria has produced,” said Ogunbusuyi. “He has guided many clubs to victories, and we believe he can help us secure an NNL ticket within a season.”

The management expressed confidence that Adepoju’s track record, including his success with Akure City, Rising Stars, and Sunshine Stars, would translate into a successful season for Adamimogo FC.

They are optimistic that his leadership will make the club highly competitive in the upcoming 2024/2025 season, with the ultimate goal of securing promotion to the NNL.

In response, Coach Adepoju assured the management of his commitment to success, while calling on the support of all stakeholders to help the team become a force to reckon with in the NLO1 next season.
