COAS Shooters will not be playing in the Ardova Handball Premier League 2024 following their shocking defeat to Adamawa Warriors on day 5 of the National Division One Handball League 2023 in Benin City, Edo State.
COAS Shooters, who were clearly on top with four comfortable victories to and topped the table, succumbed to a Adamawa Warriors 40-35 in the semi finals in the men category to the shock of everyone who trooped into the indoor sports hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
With the result, Adamawa Warriors have gained promotion into the Ardova Handball Premier League for the first time in their history alongside Sunshine Kings of Akure, who will be making a return to the top tier league after defeating Nasarawa Ambassadors 25-22.
In the women category, high flying Rivers Queens ruthlessly defeated Fountain Babes 43-12 to gain promotion into the Ardova Handball Premier League.
They will joined by COAS Babes, who also humiliated UNIBEN with a 38-15 victory to gain promotion into the Ardova Handball Premier League.
