Adamawa State Commissioner Urges Athletes to Excel at National Youth Games

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development in Adamawa State, Barrister Wali Yakubu, has called on athletes representing the state in the eighth edition of the National Youth Games to be courageous and strive for excellence to make the state proud during the competition.

Speaking at the Denis Osadebay University Needs Assessment Hostel in Asaba, Delta State, the venue of the Adamawa State camp, the commissioner expressed gratitude to God for a safe journey.

He encouraged the athletes to be full of courage, which would enable them to compete effectively and perform admirably.

During his visit, the commissioner inspected the hostel facilities where the Adamawa athletes were camped, ensuring their comfort and readiness for the games.

In a related address, Hon. Bauna Myadasa, the member representing Lamurde constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, emphasized the importance of each athlete participating with integrity and returning with a good name.

He thanked the government of Adamawa, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for the timely release of funds, demonstrating the state’s commitment to the games.

Hon. Myadasa urged the athletes to be courageous and determined, reminding them of their roles as future leaders.
