Top Access Bank Lagos Marathon sponsor KIA Motors has reiterated its support for the forthcoming edition of the Lagos City Marathons scheduled for Saturday 2nd of February 2019.
Access Bank Lagos Marathon project manager Bukola Olopade has told Sports247.ng that the partnership with the automobile giants is going on well and the company is doing everything possible to ensure easy registration for athletes.
“As we know the marathon is an annual event and yearly we have thousands of athletes, charity organizations trying to register people to run and what KIA has done make things easier for the next edition is by opening their showrooms and making it a registration point for people who want to participate in the event. “
Registration forms have been made available for intending participants of the marathon at all KIA motors showrooms in Lagos in Isolo and Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island.
Mr Olopade is also confident that the 2019 edition will be bigger and better than the previous ones. “The marathon since its inception has gathered lots of support and that can be confirmed with KIA coming on board earlier this year. Plans are already in place to have a big event in February and I must tell you that this is going to be bigger than the previous editions.”
Over 100, 000 people registered for the 2018 edition and organizers are gearing up for a larger number in 2019.
