Lagos city marathon has now been upgraded to a silver label marathon by the IAAF, a feat yet to be attain elsewhere in the world.
This was communicated during JAC MOTORS ABEOKUTA 10KM RACE to the pressing world by the athletics federation of Nigeria president, Engr Shehu Gasua in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
The AFN president stated that not only is the Lagos city marathon upgraded to silver label but also hold the fastest timing in the world has release by Athletics Identity Measurements Scale (AIMS).
However Engr. Shehu Gasua shower encomium on Bukola Olopade of Nilayo sports management for the feat achieved so far and promised AFN support to the management .
