It was a couple’s affair as the duo of Gyan Emmanuel and Deborah Pam carted away prize money at the just concluded Marathon held in Lagos.
The much anticipated silver label Access bank Lagos city marathon has come and gone , with Kenya David Barmasia Tumo carting away the grand prize of $50,000.
The Kenyan set a new record in a time of 2:10:23 .
The first Nigerian male Gyan Emmanuel breast the tape came in , in the 23rd position in a time of 2:25:30 , while Adamu Shehu came in 24th in a time of 2:27:17 and Iliya Pam came in 25th in a time of 2:28:34 .
For the Nigeria female , the first Nigerian Deborah Pam came in in a time of 2:45:17 to placed 14th overall while second Nigeria Olude Fadekemi clocked 2:49:38 to placed 17th in the overall .
While Gyan came first among the Nigeria male , the wife Deborah Pam set the pace among the Nigeria female marathoners.
