Speaking during the official inspection visit of the AFA leadership to Abuja, Hon. Adeyinka emphasized that with the backing of the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the passionate LOC team, Abuja 2025 is shaping up to be a championship to remember.
“Let me assure the President of the African Armwrestling Federation, the board, and the entire armwrestling family across Africa that Nigeria is ready,” said the LOC Chairman.
“We are not just hosting an event; we are making history. We are committed to ensuring every participating nation feels the warmth, efficiency, and excellence of Nigeria.”
He thanked the National Sports Commission, The Chairman Mallam Dikko and DG Hon. Bukola Olopade, for the unflinching support and collaboration, describing the synergy between the NSC and the LOC as “a perfect example of what government and sports leadership can achieve together.”
The LOC Chairman also made a strong appeal to corporate bodies, institutions, and individuals to support this major continental event, highlighting that sports is a major driver of unity, youth engagement, and national image.
“We call on the private sector to join us in making this dream a reality. This is a golden opportunity to align your brand with excellence, sportsmanship, and continental pride. Your support will not only power the event but also leave a lasting impact.”
With over 22 countries expected, and more than 300 athletes and officials arriving in Abuja this July, the LOC under Hon. Adeyinka is working tirelessly to ensure a world-class experience from logistics to hospitality and competition management.
The Armwrestling Federation of Africa has already commended Nigeria’s preparation, and with this renewed assurance from the LOC, all eyes are now on Abuja 2025 as the continent eagerly anticipates a landmark armwrestling celebration.
