Abubakar Shuaibu scored a second-half brace as Inter Lagos staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Smart City FC 3-1 in the Lagos derby on Sunday.
The Southern Conference A Matchday 7 clash, held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, saw Smart City take an early lead in the 27th minute through Kalu Daniels.
However, Inter Lagos turned the game around in the second half with two quick goals from Shuaibu, who found the net twice in just two minutes.
Otheke Egbo sealed the victory with a third goal, four minutes before full time.
The victory marks Inter Lagos’ third win of the season and propels them into the top five of the Southern Conference A standings.
