Nigerian beach soccer national team, Super Sand Eagles’ veteran, Abu Azeez says he is happy with double options he has in football, and the opportunity to make his mark in two aspects of the round leather game.
Azeez told sports247.ng that his exploits in beach soccer have earned him fame and honours, but pointed out that he is also making his mark in regular football.
Although his clout in beach soccer seems to over shadow his game as a regular footballer, Azeez disclosed that he has also gained several accolades for his exploits on grass.
The former Rangers, Enyimba and 3SC star further told sports247.ng that he feels blessed for his career path and alternate opportunities that come his way on both grass and sand.
Azeez posited: “I am comfortable with the balance that I have enjoyed in both fields of football.
“I am happy that I recently reached a landmark 103 goals in beach soccer, and that I helped Nigeria qualify for the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.”
