The management of ABS FC Ilorin said the Club have made another history in the game of football after it unveiled Abdulahi Gata at the Stephen Keshi Memorial stadium in Asaba venue of the ongoing LMC/Laliga promises U-15 screening exercise, sports247.ng reports.
The 14 – year old Abdulahi Gata who was amongst the 20players of the Saraki club who underwent a successful screening exercise of the Laliga U-15 promises will join others to defend the trophy won by ABS FC youth team in 2017.
Abdulahi Gata the youngest in his family is the 4th player identified by ABS FC from same father and same mother in the Gata family in Ilorin, Alloy Chukwuemeka informs
Others are Ismaila Gata of Enyimba and home based super Eagles, Adesina Gata now with Wikki tourist FC and U-20 flying Eagles as well as Mubarak Gata of the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria.
Although ABS FC plies its trade in the lower league, the NNL, the club was nominated as defending champions of the tournament organized by the LMC in conjunction with Spanish FA Liliga.
Meanwhile U-23 Eagles star Taiwo Awoniyi today in Asaba Delta state splashed two hundred thousand naira on the ABS FC U-15 boys.
Awoniyi who was highly excited when he saw the boys from Ilorin, expressed joy with ABS FC for their efforts at developing young talents .
