ABS FC sign new partnership deal with newly formed academy

Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS FC) have signed a new deal with newly formed sport academy in Kwara state La Planet Sport Academica.

Founder of La Planet Sport Academica, Shogo Shondunke revealed how he came up with the name La Planet Sport academica and also why the academy decided to partner with ABS FC.

“LA is a Spanish and French word for “THE” – when a player is exceptional we say he is from another planet, that is where the name “LA PLANET” is derived.

“In West Africa, what we have is football academy but the aim of this project is beyond football and that’s the reason behind the name “Sport Academia”.

Shogo who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Phreestyle Sport Nigeria says the academy has secured sponsors, partnership and interest from foreign club and firms.

“We have gotten partners and support from foreign firms.

“We have received interest from abroad and we believe in the next six years, we would have players playing in the UEFA Champions League.”

On selecting ABS, he stated: “ABS FC is one of the biggest club in Nigeria because of the number of grass-root players they have exposed in the Nigeria Football League.”

The partnership is already yielding good result as a player of the academy debuted for the Saraki Boys in their 2-0 victory over Adamawa United over the weekend.

Director of Sport of ABS FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka in his speech acknowledged the academy for producing talented youngsters.

“La Planet is an academy that produces young players and ABS believes in young players.

“Football is all about talent and that is the aim of the club – to scout the talented ones and put them on the right platform.”
