The inauguration and unveiling of a new female football club, Abruka Queens FC in Kwara Stats has is now set to hold on Saturday, 24th of October.
The new football outfit is an initiative of Hajia Segilola Alaya, the only female Board Member of the Kwara State Football Association.
Alaya who is also the Chairman, Female Football Development Committee Kwara State said the establishment of the club is one of her long standing committment to the development of female football from the grassroot.
“My decision to establish this club is to disocver talents, empower female footballers and enhance football development in the State.” she said.
The inauguration is expected to be witnessed by all the football stakeholders in the State including the Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Musa Thuraya.
Meanwhile, the Proprietress of Abruka Queens FC who has also invited Sportspro News crew to the event billed for 11am revealed that the ceremony will hold at Viva Suite 10 Reservation, GRA, Ilorin.
