It promises to be an exciting encounter and one that the Warriors will want to use to bounce back after the defeat to Kwara United in Ilorin in a match day two encounter.
According to the Technical Adviser of Abia Warriors, Coach Erasmus Onu, the players have put the defeat behind them and are looking forward to the game on Sunday.
In the last five meetings of the two clubs, they are tied to two wins each and a draw.
While speaking to Abia Warriors Media, Nmecha Johnson who manned the goalpost in Abia Warrior’s last two games expressed optimism that the home side will win the tie.
“The spirit is high, we are very, very motivated. We’ve been training well (and) the aim is to get all three points nothing less than that…by the end of the game we will go home with all three points.”
In their last home fixture, Abia Warriors defeated Niger Tornadoes by a lone goal and they hope to sustain the momentum.
