The incidents leading to the fine include preventing Rangers from accessing the pitch before the game, resulting in a fracas.
The NPFL noted that Abia Warriors failed to provide sufficient security measures for the visiting team before, during, and after the match, a serious violation that further contributed to the club’s disciplinary action.
In a sequence of additional infractions, Abia Warriors obstructed the league’s official broadcast partner, StarTimes from recording pre-match content, going as far as harassing the media crew of the league partner broadcaster.
The situation escalated when the club seized the mobile phone of the StarTimes regional manager in the process.

The club has a 48-hour window from the time of the notice of the fine to either appeal the decision or accept the punishment handed down by the NPFL.
This disciplinary action serves as a reminder of the league’s commitment to upholding fair play, sportsmanship, and professionalism within the NPFL.
