The management of Abia Angels FC of Aba engaged the players in skills acquisition training programme as part of the plans to engage the players positively after the shut down of the NWFL due to the COVID19 pandemic.
The skills acquisition programme which was supervised by the Abia state ministry of women affairs had in attendance the state commissioner for women affairs Mrs Ukachi Amala, club chairman Mr Rowland Gbaruko, players and other club officials.
The players were taught the act of Hairdressing, fashion designing and interior decorations, while addressing the players the club chairman Mr Rowland Gbaruko urged the players to take advantage of the skills acquisition training serious that it will be useful to them and thanked the state government under the leadership of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the ministry of women affairs for the support to the team.
The Abia state commissioner for women Affairs Mrs Ukachi Amala encouraged the players to be good on and off the pitch also use the skills learnt very serious because it will be an advantage in future too, speaking on behalf of the players’ Ayo Samuel thanked the state government and club management for the support through the skills acquisition training which will be an added advantage in the future for the players.
The skills acquisition training is part of the plans of the club to help the players future.
