Abdullahi Mansur, former Warri Wolves head coach has applauded Ibrahim Gusau’s NFF led board over thier unbiased personnel selection for the referees, judicial committee set up earlier this week.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) earlier this week announced that they have set up a constitution of four committees for the 2022-26 period consisting of referees, match commissioners, disciplinary and appeals.
Mansur lauded the set up, “For the first time to have a lady head the referee committee in Faith Irabor is a good move and that’s the first time a woman will head that committee in the history of Nigeria football.”
“I want to give kudos to the Nigeria Football Federation under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau to go in line with FIFA directives because FIFA directed that a retired referee should head the referee committee and not just that even the technical committee should be headed by technocrat, a tactician.”
“Indeed, looking at the committee members, they are all men and women of timber and caliber, bravo to the team and thier method of selection, it’s so justifiable,” he concluded.
