Abayomi disclosed this during a technical committee meeting which took place on Friday night at the NIS Complex.

‘The world will have their eyes on you when the officiating begins, Abayomi started, you therefore have to be objective and shun any form of sentiment in officiating as this could affect the perception the World sees you and integrity is key’ he maintained.

Abayomi further reminded all that the Southern and Eastern African have completed their qualifiers and all eyes will be on West Africa, as this event begins, so it’s important they give a good account of themselves.

He further added that Nigeria, Ghana, Tunisia and Benin Republic are all brothers and any action that is capable of sowing seed of discord need to be discouraged but the sportsmanship spirit be encouraged.

The Baseball5 Regional Championship begins Saturday, by 10:30am at the NIS Sports Complex with Nigeria and Ghana starting off in the opener.
