The organizer of this year’s Aare Tomori Williams Football Competition has rolled out a round of 16 fixtures of the competition for male and female category which is expected to kickstart on Thursday, 29th December.
According to the chief cordinator, Lateef ogunfowora, Aare Shevchenko as he is fondly called said, “we are happy with what we have seen from the beginning to this level, we started with a kind of a shaky form due to some certain issues but we are happy that eventually, the competition is here with lots of talents showcasing themselves.”
“One good thing about the first round of this tournament is that we witnessed high scoring championship where a team scored a total of nine goals, another team scoring 10 past thier opponents who only scored one. This makes us see for the very first time in Lagos State an high scoring competition.”
“We are happy that this competition is producing strikers and I think in the nearest future, it will be on record that the next goalscorer for this country is produced through this competition.”
“Now that we are at this stage, every hands is on deck and the sponsor of this competition, Aare Tomori is doing more to make the eventual winner happy more than what we have experienced before now”, he concluded.
