The ‘A Minute in Lagos with Hull City Scouts’ tournament unfolded on the hallowed grounds of the Legacy Pitch at the National Stadium on Friday, January 26th, 2024.
Sponsored by 36 Lion Investment, Diamond Sports Management, and H.E.K United Sports Management Limited, the scouting competition drew participation from esteemed clubs such as 36 Lion, Charlesann, Imperial, De Shack, Dino SC, and Collins Edwin.

Under the watchful eyes of Hull City Scout Mustafa Yokes, the scouting exercise proved to be a hotbed of talent, with eight exceptional players earning the coveted nod.
Among the chosen ones were Ogonna Okoro (Dino SC), Samuel Isife (36 Lion), Mamadi Cisse (36 Lion), and Malik Musa (Imperial FC).
Expressing his admiration for the wealth of talent on display, Yokes revealed an immediate action plan to propel the spotted talents to England.
“We have commenced plans that will see the outstanding talents discovered from the Tournament move to the next level of their chosen career,” he affirmed.
In the tournament’s inaugural clash, 36 Lion battled Charlesann to a 1-1 draw, while Imperial and De Shack settled for a goalless standoff. Dino SC emerged victorious over Collins Edwin with a convincing 3-1 triumph.
President of 36 Lion Investment, Hajj Gafar Liameed, extended congratulations to the players who secured a spot on the coveted list.
He, however, encouraged those who fell short not to lose hope, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of scouting programs.
“For those who didn’t make it this time, I urge you all not to be discouraged. Don’t give up. Keep training so you can make it next time,” he asserted.
Liameed also commended the English scouts for their professionalism and efficiency in evaluating 90 players from six clubs within a single day. “It was an amazing performance,” he lauded, highlighting the success and significance of the scouting endeavour.
