Super Falcons Defender, Glory Ogbonna has been rewarded with a one-year contract extension by Besiktas women’s football club following her impressive performance with the Disi Kartallar in the 2023/24 season.

The club announced this in a statement on their official Instagram page on Friday, which read, “Besiktas United Payment team have renewed the contract of our Nigerian defender Glory Ogbonna within the scope of the transfer efforts for the 2024/25 season.”
The former Edo Queens player was one of the outstanding defenders in the just concluded 2023/24 Turkcell Women’s Football League, 28 appearances and a goal to her name.
Expressing her delight at the contract, Ogbonna said, “Since joining Besiktas, it has been an amazing time, and the fans have been great. I’m looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
Besiktas women’s football team finished 4th in the just concluded league with 59 points.
