Peter Sukwo scored the winning goal in an electrifying match at the NNL Super 8 where Madiba FC clinched a 2-1 victory over Inter Lagos.
Sukwo who was on the substitution list, came off the bench to turn the tide in favour of Madiba FC.
Sukwo’s goal not only secured the win but also rekindled hope for the team, especially after trailing 1-0.
Speaking about his performance with Sport 247, Sukwo said, “It makes me feel very excited.
I’m very grateful to God almighty for the goal. Football is all about determination. If you focus and your mentality is high, everything is going to happen quickly.”
Despite starting from the bench and watching his team lose, Sukwo remained focused and motivated. He was eager to get on the pitch and make a difference, which he certainly did.
With this win, Madiba FC is now in a position where a victory in their last game will secure them a spot in the NPFL.
When asked about the upcoming challenge, Sukwo confidently stated, “As we are coming up now we have won this match.
I am very sure that the third match that we are going to play is going to be a must-win. We are coming out full because we are Madiba, we are the moving train.”
