NWFL SUPER-6: Opara Chimebere Confident Ahead of Final Match Against Rivers Angels

Opara Chimebere, captain of Heartland Queens, expressed confidence that her team will maintain their tenacity in their last NWFL Super 6 match against Rivers Angels on Sunday.

In a post-match interview following a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Bayelsa Queens on Friday, Chimebere reflected on the team’s recent performances and their mindset moving forward.

Despite their last two disappointing games, she noted that the team came to win against the more experienced Bayelsa Queens and secured a point.

“We will be happy going back to Owerri. In the last two matches we lost, which was not our game plan.

Before the Bayelsa game, we had to talk to ourselves that we would come out for that game and give it our all, and that’s what we did.”

Chimebere is determined to bring that same tenacity to their final match against Rivers Angels.

“We want to maintain that same tenacity when we play against Rivers Angels on Sunday and go home proud of ourselves and our efforts in the NWFL Super 6 for this year.”
