Captain of Confluence Queens, Hauwa Abdullahi, shared her thoughts in a post-match interview after her team secured a 2-0 victory against Heartland Queens on Match day 2 of the NWFL Super-6 tournament.
Reflecting on the team’s comeback after losing their first match, Abdullahi attributed their success to a strategic shift.

“We came up with a game plan. That is how we were able to win this match. There is no secret behind it. We just changed the plan,” she explained.
Looking ahead to their next match, Abdullahi expressed confidence in the team’s ability to improve and compete for the title. “We will do better in our next game,” she stated.
When asked about her message to her teammates, Hauwa emphasized the importance of a positive mindset and determination. “We will all put up a new attitude to win our next match,” she affirmed.

Confluence Queens will be facing Bayelsa Queens who also won their match against Nasarawa Amazons come Match day 3 on Tuesday 22nd May.
