Speaking against the backdrop of his side’s 3-2 loss to Collin Edwin Sports Club on Friday in the NLO’s Lagos zone one, Olamilekan admitted that the contest has been quite intense and tight.

Friday’s result left Crime Fighters FC in eighth position of the 11-team log, thereby leaving them out of contention for the promotion play-offs, and Olamilekan was short for words.

He stylishly evaded questions about his club’s fortunes in the season but admitted he is happy seeing the NLO as a launchpad for hidden talents at the grassroots.

“It’s quite intense. It’s nice, good, and great for upcoming grassroots players,” said Okikiola Olamilekan, who then spoke about an injury he copped during Friday’s loss.

“I’m 100% fit and always ready to give my best for my team,” Olamilekan parried, with an air of finality.
