Remo Stars Coach Optimistic About NPFL Title As Rangers Coach Remains Cautious

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, exudes confidence in his team’s chances of clinching the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title this season. Following a crucial 2-1 victory against Rivers United, Remo Stars have narrowed the gap to just one point behind league leaders Rangers.

Despite Rangers’ position at the top of the table, their head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has downplayed their title aspirations, emphasizing their ongoing development process.

Ogunmodede, however, remains resolute in his belief that the NPFL trophy is within reach for Remo Stars. In a statement to the club’s media, he asserted, “I think it (the title) is in view because my friend (Fidelis Ilechukwu) said they are still building, so, we are trying to capitalize on the fact that they are building and we are trying to get the trophy.”

With Remo Stars finishing as runners-up in the NPFL last season, Ogunmodede’s optimism is buoyed by the team’s past success and their current position in the league standings. As they continue their campaign, Remo Stars are poised to challenge Rangers and other contenders for the coveted NPFL title.
