In a remarkable Nationwide League One match on Monday between Collins Edwin and Alim City, striker Okeke Ebuka Kelvin stole the show with a sensational hat-trick, securing a 3-1 victory for his team.

Speaking with Sports 247 after the match, Ebuka expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and credited his teammates for their support.

“It’s a very good feeling. I want to thank God for the opportunity and our coaches for giving me the chance to play,” Ebuka shared.

“And for the hard work I’ve been putting in as a team. And I also want to thank my teammates for the assists they gave me because without them I cannot score. I feel so happy and I’m glad. And I thank God for everything.”

When asked about his expectations against Alim City, Ebuka remained focused on securing a victory for his team.

“They were a good side but my expectation was for us to win,” he explained. “And I prayed that even if it’s just one or two goals, that we will score.

By the special grace of God, I scored a hat trick. But the main reason why we are here is for us to win and top our group. But I just thank God for the win.”

Looking ahead to their next match against Real Sapphire, Ebuka emphasized the importance of maintaining a winning mentality.

“Our expectation is just for us to win the game,” he stated. “Even if it’s just 1-0, let’s just win. Just win.”

Despite the challenges that may arise, Okeke Ebuka Kelvin remained positive about his team’s chances.

“That’s football but I’m positive that we are going to win,” he affirmed, displaying confidence in their abilities to secure another victory in their upcoming match.
