The match began with AC Milan on the back foot, conceding an early penalty converted by Genoa’s Mateo Retegui.
However, Chukwueze, the former Villarreal forward, stepped up to the plate, assisting AC Milan’s first goal and helping the team regain their footing.
Chukwueze’s cross was met by Alessandro Florenzi, who planted a perfect header inside the right post, levelling the scores before halftime.
This assist adds to Chukwueze’s tally for the season, taking it to three goals and three assists in all competitions.
Despite the draw extending AC Milan’s winless streak to six games, Chukwueze’s performance has been a beacon of positivity.
With AC Milan and Chukwueze having secured a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, the Nigerian forward’s form this season has not been impressive.
