Anthony Konyegwachi, coach of the Nigerian Boxing contingent to the African Games, has exuded confidence in his team’s readiness to compete against formidable opponents from North Africa and secure a podium performance at the upcoming games.
With ambitions set high, Konyegwachi aims for his team to clinch at least five gold medals in Ghana.
“We have been in camp now for almost three weeks and we are really on top form right now.
So my boxers are ready to go to conquer Africa by the grace of God,” stated Konyegwachi.
Expressing optimism in his team’s capabilities, Konyegwachi emphasized their readiness and motivation to achieve their goals.
Despite facing challenges from top boxing nations in North Africa such as Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, Konyegwachi believes his boxers are well-prepared to tackle the competition head-on.
“My boxers are equal to the task. They are ready, I have prepared them well,” affirmed Konyegwachi. Despite having limited time for preparation compared to other countries, he remains confident in his team’s ability to perform at their best.
