Reflecting on the match, Coach Ilechukwu expressed satisfaction with his team’s display, “great game, I think we turned up well today especially in the second half and i knew Remo Stars very well, i knew what they came to do and we thank God we got our three points, that is the most important thing.”
Addressing questions regarding celebrations following the win, Coach Ilechukwu maintained his stance of avoiding premature jubilation. “because I don’t want the boy to lose concentration because Heartland lost 5-1 in their home means that the league is still open. We can’t give up. We will Keep on fighting until the end of the season. What we want to do, like I told people before, especially our fans, I don’t want the team to be under pressure. We are not 100% sure of winning the league. I can tell you today, we are not league contenders. I’m saying it with confidence but you cannot write us off. I think we are trying to build a strong structure for a team that will win tournaments in future. But on doing that we are positive as well.”

When questioned about the halftime team talk and the evident improvement in performance, “Yes, what happened in this game, We decided to go with our team that won our last game. But looking at the Remo Stars central, they are very slow so we had to bring on fast wingers and one attacking midfielder to make sure that we have more players in attack to put the team under pressure and make sure we win the match. That’s what just happened in today’s game.”
The victory over Remo Stars underscores Enugu Rangers’ resilience and tactical acumen under Coach Ilechukwu’s leadership. With each match presenting new challenges and opportunities, Enugu Rangers remain steadfast in their pursuit of success, guided by a strategic approach aimed at long-term development and achievement. As the season progresses, Coach Ilechukwu and his team are poised to build upon their recent performances, aiming to consolidate their position and make further strides towards their ultimate objectives.
In the aftermath of their hard-fought triumph, Enugu Rangers can draw inspiration from their collective efforts, knowing that each victory brings them closer to their aspirations. With determination and a strategic mindset, they remain a formidable force in the NPFL, ready to overcome whatever challenges lie ahead.
