Deborah Abiodun, midfielder for the Super Falcons, expressed confidence in the team’s ability to qualify for the Olympics following their victory over Cameroon in the return leg in Abuja.
Abiodun emphasized the honour of representing Nigeria and underscored the team’s determination to succeed.

“It’s a big privilege for every one of us to represent Nigeria at this level,” Abiodun stated.
“And we are so privileged and so thankful for the opportunity. We don’t tend to take any of it for granted, and we’re not going to take our opponents for granted.”
Looking ahead to the upcoming match against South Africa, Abiodun acknowledged the strength of their opponents but remained resolute in the team’s preparation and approach.
“We would follow our coaches’ instructions and how he wants us to play,” she explained.
“And I’m sure, by God’s grace and with the support of every Nigerian out there, we would overcome South Africa.”
Recognizing the quality of South Africa’s team, Abiodun emphasized that the Super Falcons would not underestimate any opponent.
“Of course, they are a strong side. Every team is a strong side,” she noted. “Football is developing in every country.
So, we are not underrating anybody. By God’s grace and with your support, we hope to qualify against South Africa.”
