Sabo Okala described the game as disappointing but acknowledged the dynamic nature of football. “We had the game under control. But football can be dynamic at times and I think it shows that part of dynamism in the game. So we just go back to the drawing board and see how we can correct these mistakes,” he said.
The coach also addressed the team’s reaction after conceding goals. “I would say that is how today’s game went. It’s just that we didn’t react on time. That is just what happened to us. It’s not as a result of when they score, they react,” Okala explained.
When asked about Dannaz, the team that handed them their defeat, Okala praised their determination and potential. “A young, promising side. I think what is going for them is determination. They are determined and I think that is what is paying off for them, that determination. They have a very good prospect and a very good future. And they displayed that determination today,” he said.
Despite the defeat, Sabo Okala is confident about Confluence Queens’ chances in the playoffs. “Definitely. We’ll be at the Super Six. I’ll guarantee you that by the grace of God, we’ll be at the Super Six,” he assured.
This interview highlights the resilience of Confluence Queens and their determination to bounce back stronger. As they return to the drawing board, fans can look forward to their performance in the upcoming games.
