Emmanuel Solomon and his daughter participated in the 10km race of the 9th edition of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
In a post-race interview with Sports 247, Solomon shared his experience and motivations for joining the marathon.

For Solomon and his daughter, it was their first time participating in the marathon, and they found the experience to be interesting and enjoyable.
Talking about his motivation, Solomon says “Actually, I saw it online I’ve been using Access Bank. I’ve been banking with Assets Bank for 12 years now. So, I just said let me give it a try.”
They began the race around 9:30 AM at the kick-off point in Lekki. Despite not keeping track of their exact finish time to track their personal record, Solomon expressed enthusiasm for participating again in the future.
He hopes to improve his performance and achieve a better personal best record in subsequent editions of the marathon.
Solomon’s participation in the marathon exemplifies the diverse range of individuals drawn to the event, from seasoned athletes to newcomers like himself and his daughter.
