Former Nigeria and Reading FC defender, Sam Sodje, is rallying Nigerians to maintain their support for the Super Eagles as the team continues to impress in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

“I think we can go there and win it because the road to the finals on our side is not that tough. Talking about Angola, our next opponent in the next round, I think they’re a good team, a very good team.
Banana skins teams are always hard to play against, but with the confidence that we have – and confidence in football is huge – I think we can go all the way, beat them, and do well,” said Sodje.

“So yeah, we’re looking at a very good team, I’ve always known that this is a golden generation, we just needed a good technical side to match our abilities.”
