The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has successfully concluded extensive global broadcast agreements for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Côte d’Ivoire 2023, marking a significant milestone ahead of the tournament’s kick-off on January 13, 2024.
These comprehensive agreements span major regions, ensuring extensive coverage and a substantial increase in viewership.

Global TV-broadcast partners include renowned networks such as Sky (United Kingdom), BBC (United Kingdom), LaLiga+ (Spain), SportItalia (Italy), Sport Digital (Germany & Switzerland), SportTV (Portugal), Viaplay (Nordics), and Band TV (Brazil).
Additionally, partnerships with beIN Sport, CANAL+, New World TV, and around 45 Free-To-Air broadcasters will result in broadcasting coverage in approximately 180 countries.
The surge in media accreditation applications, totalling around 6,000, showcases the heightened interest and anticipation for AFCON 2023/2024.
This figure represents a notable increase of over 100% compared to the previous AFCON in Cameroon in 2022.
The financial investments made by broadcasting rights Holders from various continents contribute to a substantial boost in CAF’s broadcasting revenues.
