Officials and players of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Tuesday, paid a get well soon visit to the chairman, Oyo State Football Association, Oba James Odeniran.
The retires FIFA badged referee who is the Alakinyele of Akinyele is currently on admission at the Divine Mercy Hospital, Gbongan undergoing treatment after he was involved in a fatal accident last week.
The 3SC delegation to Gbongan was led by the General Manager of the club, Rasheed Balogun.
The 3SC GM said the visit of the club’s officials and players was to show concern for the Oyo FA boss and to also wish him a quick recovery.
“We are very grateful to God for sparing your life and we are happy you are getting well.
“Our visit is to let you know that we are with you and also to pray that you get back on your feet very soon,”” said Balogun.
Odeniran, who expressed surprise at the visit, appreciated the management and players of 3SC even as he praised the Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Abayomi Oke for standing by him in this trying period.
Odeniran, who shed tears while speaking, prayed that God will grant the club success in its promotion bid in the incoming season.
