League Management Company (LMC) chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko has promised that matches of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will return to television screens next season.
Dikko told sports247.ng that viewers will again be able to watch NPFL matches in the comfort of their homes once the process is worked out.
He explained that many issues have to be taken into consideration before matches can start showing on television, as the clubs involved and the venues are key issues to talk about.
Dikko said: “Getting league matches on television is not as easy as it might appear to be, but we are working on it already.
“We are sorting out some business issues for local league matches to return back to television like before.
“I can assure you that, when the deal is sorted out, it won’t be only two league matches that will be shown on television each week.”
