Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Ndubuisi Egbo has expressed his surprise at learning that he was the first Nigerian coach to win a title with a European club.

Ndubuisi Egbo, who guided KF Tirana to the Albania League title in 2020, initially focused on his job and was not aware of the significance of his achievement.
“Well, even for me, I was surprised at the time to learn that I was the first Nigerian coach or manager to win a title in Europe because I was focused more on doing my job and winning for my team,” Egbo told TribalFootball.

Despite his initial surprise, Ndubuisi Egbo is proud of his accomplishment and believes it can serve as an inspiration to other Nigerian coaches. “I knew then that this could act as a motivation for other Nigerian coaches to work hard and break into Europe,” he said.
