The President of the Island AllStars, Ikenna Maduagwu has expressed his excitement about the Love Cup and the start of the league, highlighting the continuous growth and improvement in the league’s activities and membership, making it an interesting and fun competition to look forward to.
“Today is very exciting. You can agree with me that every year, we step up the game. There is an increase in membership, hype, activities, and love. That is courtesy of Obilux Island All Stars Love Cup 2023. Once again, like I told you. Remember, we will do our best to continue to unite this club, integrate it, and take it to higher levels. For me, there is no winner yet; they have 11 more games, and I charge all the teams to go back, refill, and come back,” Maduagwu shared during an interview with Sports247.
Addressing the change in sponsorship from the previous season, he explained, “This year, we have 4 teams. We had a total of 12 members willing to take up teams. For the first time, people were bringing their money, and they had to go through screening and interviews to be accepted. That is the love we have in this club. And of course, Island All-stars give you visibility for your product, company, as visibility as a member.” This underlines the club’s appeal to sponsors and members alike.
