Abdulrahman emphasized the importance of professionalism within the league and pointed out that the registration process began a month ago after the NNL Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Jos.

“We opened the window for registration immediately after the AGM, which took place last month in Jos. As we speak, some clubs are yet to register in spite of the ultimatum issued last week,” he stated.

The NNL is keen on implementing professionalism and expects participating clubs to adhere to the set standards. Abdulrahman further added that the new board, led by George Aluo, is committed to doing things differently and won’t tolerate clubs that hinder progress.

He warned, “Any club that fails to complete its registration formalities by early this week may be thrown out of the league. We won’t allow any club to draw us back. The secretariat is working round the clock to ensure that things are done in a professional manner.”

The new NNL season is set to commence on Saturday, October 28, and the league’s administration is determined to ensure all participating clubs meet the required standards and obligations for a successful season.
