The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that the players were all expected to have reached Addis Ababa on Sunday, commencing their preparations for the important match.

NFF Director of Media, Ademola Olajire, explained that Super Falcons’ Manager, Randy Waldrum, would travel directly from his base in the United States to the camp in Addis Ababa.

Similarly, all Europe-based stars would be flying in from their respective bases.

“The foreign-based players will fly directly to Addis Ababa, and everyone must be there by Sunday. The match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 25th,” said Olajire.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Togolese referees for the encounter. The decisive second leg will take place at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, six days later.

Ethiopia secured their place in this round by eliminating Chad during the first stage of the Olympics qualifying series. In contrast, the Super Falcons received a bye into this stage of the competition.

The Super Falcons are eager to make their mark in the Paris 2024 Olympics and will be focused on a strong performance against Ethiopia to progress in the qualifiers.
